Polycarboxylate Scale Inhibitor and Dispersant
Copolymer of Phosphorous and Carboxylic Acid (PCA)
CAS. 71050-62-9
ApplicationThe PCA has good dispersion effect on calcium carbonate and calcium phosphate in circulating cooling water. It also inhibits the deposition of barium sulfate, strontium sulfate and silica scales. It features good thermal stability and strong resistance to chlorine.
The PCA is widely used in industrial cooling water system and oilfield water injection system. It is also a boiler water treatment chemical. As a scale inhibitor, its performance is equivalent to BWA’s Belsperse 164. It can either be used alone with a concentration of 5-20mg/L, or together with organic acid, copolymer, zinc salt or BTA.
